I have highlighted the prospective of Sports: as a catalyst in social change and addressing various issues. Stimulating participants from a variety of different homestead and backgrounds, teamed up youth aged from 10 - 35 years for sports activity in order to acquaint them with skills, values or knowledge on how to tackle issues such as insecurity, drug abuse, Marginalization, radicalization, education crisis, negative use of social media, tribal clashes and cultural preservation as a unity of purpose, HIV/AIDS prevention and community development all through the power of sport.
By identifying best method such as sport skills I managed to fulfill the idea of trying to impart monumental skills such as togetherness, life skill, mentorship, self reliance, hard work, patience, dialogue, decision making, Team work spirit and setting goals to achieve personal ambitions and enthusiasm for community development to help make the world a better place to live. People had a great fun and participants acquire unique football techniques from each other on the field, they also had the opportunity to share ideas, on overcoming hardship and general life experiences.
I therefore insist that, participants maximise the skills gained towards eradicating vices such drug abuses and radicalization which is the biggest challenges to our Kenya society today. The youth can further apply positive habits and take leading roles at homes, union or clubs in schools and other affiliations to mitigate the prevalence of illiteracy, HIV/AIDS prevention and reduction of insecurity. We expect a vast transformative peace performance in education, reverse ages of marginalisation and economic empowerment.
Finally, I foresee the need to promote capacity building and sports training in future. However, it's vital to improve their networking by developing sports competitions at local, regional and national level to foster their civic engagement through non formal education and support. Given the high rate of youth unemployment in the country, we should engage them positively or suitably to have a useful society.
