#‎ENJOY GREEN BIRTHDAY!

PLANT A BIRTHDAY TREE INITIATIVE
"On This Birthday, Make a Difference".

Message to great people of Mandera South Sub-County, all chiefs, village elders, Team leaders of 'Nyumba Kumi Initiative', youth leaders and both Maendeleo ya wanawake na wanaume.

I take this earliest opportunity to thank you in advance to participate by making upcoming special day of today (31st July 2015). As this birthday event I dedicate a vision here that will bring great joy, happiness and environmental conservation to my lovely people.

As a founder of Nomad Green Belt Movement, I am providing free seedlings distribution to all friends of environment who will open-heartedly join hands to plant 1000 seedlings tomorrow on my birthday.
Planting thousand of trees in one day, is a great challenge but I believe that many hands make work easier and our environment green. The more participants spending their time for community service on this day brings an exceptional birthday initiative to success as a whole for community development, the easier the job will be.

What a better way to honour my people to celebrate with me an occasion to have a chance to plant a tree, a gift for the entire community, intending to have an impact on the future- Trees providing shades, attracting rain and preventing soil erosion.

I therefore have decided to dedicate this special moment as a glimmer of hope thus significantly benefits the planet and an inspiration for others to emulate.

Greet participants as of the event with trees to celebrate, marked “My birthday anniversary” by ensuring my recipients with long lasting memory. As my volunteer team would also entertain an homestead audience with tips of planting trees, and how to make our surrounding environment green.

I appreciate everyone’s suggestion by the end of the event tomorrow Insha’allah.

Thank you all for your support and understanding!!!

TIGHT SCHEDULE

90 days of tight schedule kicks off today, InshAllah!
"What has reached you was never meant to miss you and what has missed you was never meant to reach you"- PROPHET MUHAMMAD P.B.U.H

OBAMA TOUR TO KENYA

We have learnt many lessons from OBAMA tour to our motherland, Kenya. Thanks to my family I have heard an easy Sunday.

Here are the 20 most memorable quotes in
Obama’s speech

On Corruption

1. There is no country that is completely free
from corruption. The fact is, too often here in
Kenya, corruption is tolerated because that's
how it's always been done.

2. Fighting corruption is not just about
changing laws. Ordinary people have to stand
up and say enough is enough.

3. Corruption continues to deny many Kenyans
jobs. Every shilling paid as a bribe could be
paid to someone who is doing an honest
day's work

On Terrorism

4. We honor the memory of every Kenyan who
has lost a life in the fight against terrorism.

5. We are greatful of the progress of AMISOM
and the US faces similar threats of terrorism as Kenya

6. Violent extremists want to turn people
against each other. The terrorists know that
they a minority that cannot win.

On Women and girl empowerment

7. Around the world, there is a tradition of
oppressing women. Just because something
is a tradition does not make it right

8. Treating girls and women as second class citizens is a bad tradition, it holds you back

9. Communities that give their daughters the
same chances as their sons prosper

10. Any nation that fails to educate girls is
doomed to lag behind in the global economy
On Youth and development

11. It is the young people who must take the
lead.

12. We are connecting young people full of ideas
who are not weighed down by ideas from the
past.

13. You don't need to look overseas to realize
your dreams

14. I like the phrase "Yes Youth Can"
On National Unity

15. We are all part of one tribe, the human tribe

16. We do not inherit the earth from our
ancestors; we borrow it from our children

17. Progress requires that we honestly confront
the dark corners of our past

18. Whatever the challenge, you will be stronger
if you face it as Kenyans He signed off with two very heartwarming
statements;

19.Thirty years ago when I first came to
Kenya you made me feel at home.....you still
make me feel at home."

20 . I am proud to be the first Kenyan to be
president of the United States

WALK OF HOPE

‪#‎WalkOfHopeKE‬ still walking in the desert!

NEW DAWN, NEW ERA

#WalkOfHopeKE New dawn!

Message to great people of Mandera County!

I take these earliest opportunity to thank you in advance for your eagerness to host the walk of hope team and friends who have taken the better part of their days in other areas of Northern Kenya they have covered. Today, the team was at Rhamu-Mandera North Sub-County, sending the message of recociliation, hope and change in the air!

In few days the #WalkOfHope team shall appear in Mandera Town for the final destination of the walk of hope journey and message in its culmination. I therefore, find it a very important for various stakeholders to prepare the ground to humbly meet with the team. This is a useful event in history for impossibilities have turned out to be possible. Dignitories ranging from area local leaders, entire Northern leaders, political, professionals from all walks of life will be in attendance to pray for Northern Kenya.

I urge Mandera professionals, teachers, students, youths, women groups, businessmen and religious leaders to stand up for the spirit of togetherness in urshering in the #WalkOfHope team in Mandera County Headquarter in days to come.

Lets take sole responsibility of informing the public at the Sub-Counties to participate in large numbers, so that they can pass the message of hope afterwards to those at the grassroots levels.

As Mandera people we were faced with numerous challenges such as insecurity, inter-clan clashes, withdrawal of TSE teachers, and health staffs, thus limited capacity in economic development or service delivery.

Once again,on the day the #WalkOfHopeKE team approaches 25Kms to the Town, you are expected approximately 50,000 residents of Mandera County to join the team as a show of solidarity, willingness to appreciation and taking the mantle of leadership as a Northern region and individual ready to embrace the message of hope. Be sensitive to your needs, that of a brother(s)and the community come out in large numbers.

Thank you for your support!

WALK OF HOPE

Shantoley primary school in Ramu sub-county is one of the best schools in Mandera county both in the academic field, sports and drama. Yesterday,‪#‎WalkOfHope‬ team paid them a courtesy visit and witnessed some of the challenges the school was facing that include shortage of space, inadequate infrastructure, shortage of teachers, lack of fencing, dilapidated roofing as a result of gun shots amongst others. The school was partially closed last year as a result of the clan clashes in the area. The headmaster house was torched and he is still an IDP. Despite all the obstacles, the teachers and students of this school chose to ignore the hindrances and moved forward. #walkofhope team were later entertained by the school drama team with beautiful and emotional traditional songs and poems. By appreciating the message, the team donated a goat and some groceries for the drama team weekend party. After our persuasive speech on the importance of education and the shortages of teachers in our counties, the following students promissed to undertake teaching courses after passing their O levels;
Madam Faiza Yussuf
Madam Naima Maow

WALK OF HOPE AT ARDHA QOROBO

Ardha Qorobo is a landmark history between Borehole 11 and Mandera South Sub-County headquarter.
Abdiaziz Haji Adan at age 50 years still remember the tree to be a place birth of his late Haji Adan Abdulla. Ardha Qorobo is suitable grazing site for goats, home to the famous Sheikh Ali Aliow (Dera) Issack Waqo, off all the passion and love he had #WalkOfHopeKE, he requested for a group photo with them there in memory of 100 years old Ardha Qorobo.
All is history but life is full beauty at Ardha.
